Jason McCleskey - BIOGRAPHY

Jason McCleskey has had a love for audio from a very young age. After years of trying other unrelated fields of work, he always found himself going in the direction of music and audio. He started DJ'ing dance music in his early teens and continues to this day under the alias DJ Mantis. Upon reaching his creative limit DJ'ing, he took it upon himself to invest in some audio gear and programs and began teaching himself to make music. He soon began to release dance tracks across the country, which fueled his admiration of music that much more.

This lead him in the direction of school where he graduated from Full Sail with a degree in Recording Arts in October of 2003 and went on to complete Extended Studies in Game Audio Production. This landed him as the "Lead Game Audio Specialist" for the "Game Development Program" at Full Sail where he worked for about 3 years and went on to secure his name on over 50 video games and was interviewed and quoted in the "Audio For Games" chapter of "Digital Music Making For Teens" by Andrew Hagerman. At this time, he also put together a duo named "Old Soul Collective" which enabled him to add beautiful vocals to his music. As he journeyed down this path, he always looked for ways to improve sound and sound quality by theorizing and experimenting within the mastering realm of the audio creation process. This knowledge and these skills have become invaluable here at Nashville Audio and Mastering!

Jason is now an integral part of Nashville Audio and Mastering where we offer many excellent audio services such as Mastering, Game Audio, Sound Design and everything in between. He has a very eclectic ear for music and sound and is extremely talented at what he does. We here at Nashville Audio and Mastering are eager and willing to share his passion with the world.
